Vim 7.1 is Out

After one year and 5 days, as Bram sais, a new release of the best text editor ever is out.

Yesterday it was added to Gentoo portage.

Well, there are no new exciting features, just the bugfixes (refer to vimannonce at yahoo groups for details): some crashes and security issues were fixed. But anyway, it's great to know that your favourite (well, yes, my favourite) piece of software is been maintained and supported. I remember myself waiting for 7.0 for years.

Vim is really my favourite software, and I really do believe it's the best editor ever, though there people who say it has two modes: “beeping” and “spoiling everything”, like the very best friend of mine, mARGO does.

They say, emacs rules. Probably. I could even love emacs if I didn't hate it's keystrokes and could make any use of it's LISP. I really hate them!

And also experimented with google.
Treat this as not-that-funny joke. Thank you for understanding.

Simple Pleasures

  1. Get 200ml teapot and put 5–6 teaspoons of green tea into it.
  2. Fill the teapot with hot, but not yet boiling water.
  3. Leave it for 5 minutes.
  4. If still doesn't look as dark as black tea, go to 3.
  5. Get a small cup and fill it.
  6. Sip it slowly (you simply won't be strong enough to get mouthful of it if you're not yet an addict like I am) until you like it or until the walls and ceiling seem falling on you (stop whatever happens first).
  7. Get yourself to kitchen and take a sip of cold clean water.
